This playful family session took place at a beautiful summer lake house in Harrisville, New Hampshire, where this family of five could simply enjoy being together. We spent the evening exploring the woods, playing by the water, and soaking in the gorgeous New Hampshire summer landscape before ending the session along the lake at sunset.
As a Harrisville family photographer, these are the sessions I love most. Rather than creating a series of perfectly posed photographs, I want families to have an experience together. We let the kids run, play, laugh, and explore while I photograph the little moments that happen naturally along the way.
The wooded portion of their family session was full of movement and personality. The kids raced down paths, played together, and enjoyed the freedom of being outside. Later, we made our way toward the lake as the evening light began to soften. The sunset created the most beautiful golden glow across the water, giving us a chance to slow down and capture some quieter moments alongside all the playful ones.
