Today is the first official day of fall, so what better way to get into the fall mood than with this Chicago fall family photo session at Winnemac Park? The leaves in Chicago have not quite started changing color just yet and the weather in Chicago is (as always) unpredictable, but looking at this sweet family session makes me so excited for all the seasonal changes that are bound to be just around the corner!
At this photo session with the Gall family, sisters Kedzie and Palmer were so sweet and playful! They loved running back and forth through the large branches of the willow trees, cuddling with each other on the picnic blanket, and looking at all of the colorful flowers in one of the park’s nature preserves. These two sisters were especially sweet to mom Kati, who is expecting baby girl number three in December. Kati was absolutely glowing and it was so precious to watch as Kedzie, Palmer and dad Shawn loved on baby number three!
Located near Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood, Winnemac Park is one of my favorite outdoor photo locations in Chicago. This large park is just over twenty-two acres and in addition to soccer fields, playgrounds, and a tennis court, Winnemac Park has over two acres of preserved natural habitat that make for such a beautiful backdrop for outdoor photos. A family session at a park this large is the perfect location for little ones to run around and explore their new surroundings, resulting in happy smiles for photos! Additionally, it really does not get more beautiful than the giant willow trees!
